Trust, Privacy & Security

This page is maintained by Pulse Cars Limited to answer common questions about how we handle your information when you browse our inventory, request a valuation, or buy a car from us. It describes our current practices and is editable as our processes evolve — it is not an independent certification.

What we collect and why

We only collect the information we need to help you buy or sell a car: your name, phone, email, optional postcode, and the vehicle details you share when requesting a valuation, booking a viewing, or completing a sale.

Sale records (invoice, agreed price, payment method, part-exchange details) are kept for our accounting and statutory obligations as a UK motor dealer.

How we protect customer data

Customer contact details, deposit information and sale prices are stored in our admin database and are only accessible to signed-in Pulse Cars staff. They are not exposed through the public website or to anonymous visitors.

Our public listings only show vehicle information (make, model, specs, photos, asking price). Fields like reservation holder, deposit amount, purchase cost and customer name are restricted to admin users at the database level.

Connections to our website use HTTPS, and file uploads from the "Sell Your Car" form are size- and file-type-restricted to prevent abuse.

Who can see your information

  • Pulse Cars sales and admin staff — for handling your enquiry, valuation or purchase.
  • Our accountants — for invoice and tax records.
  • Service providers that power the website (hosting, email delivery, SMS notifications, AI valuation). These providers process data on our behalf and do not use it for their own marketing.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small amount of first-party analytics to understand which cars are getting attention and to improve the site. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights and how to contact us

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must legally retain (e.g. completed sales).

To make a request, email sales@pulsecars.co.uk or call 07450 918041. We'll respond within one calendar month.

Reporting a security concern

If you believe you've found a security issue with our website or have a concern about how your data is being handled, please email sales@pulsecars.co.uk with details. We'll acknowledge your report and investigate promptly.

For our full sale terms, see our Terms & Conditions. This trust page is maintained by Pulse Cars and is not a Lovable-issued certification.
